      Kp prediction Kp from the HUXt solar-wind speed at Earth in 3-hour UT slots for the next 3 days (and recent hits). Solid bars use NASA WSA-ENLIL Kp90 when a matching CME run arrives; hatched bars are speed-only from HUXt streams and CMEs. Each slot carries the ambient Parker spiral, or a Lundquist CME flux rope while a cone is over Earth (cycle-25 Hale handedness and tilt, assumed; the most southward Bz in the slot). The wind speed includes the radial magnetic force of that field, capped so it cannot dominate the flow. Speed Kp is still (V−330)/80.
